Pres. Jackson welcomes St. Francis guests to the Maine Senate

AUGUSTA – Senate President Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, welcomed several guests from the town of St. Francis to the Maine Senate on Wednesday. The guests – Jeff and Kim Ouellette, Kelsie Lee, Trevor Lee, Connor Charette and Shay Charette – observed the Senate during a special session of the Legislature and took a tour of the Senate President’s Office.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of being in the Legislature is the opportunity to host friends and neighbors from Aroostook County at the State House and allow them to get a closer look at their state government,” said Senate President Jackson. “I was thrilled they made the trip down to visit for the day, and would welcome them to come again in the future.”

The State House is currently open to the public but is adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of legislators, legislative staff and the public. To learn more about visiting the State House, please contact President Jackson’s office at (207) 287-1500.
